Tottenham offer 'multiple players' to Swansea City in fresh £15m package to land Joe Rodon - reports

Jose Mourinho is ready to offer a number of his Tottenham fringe players to Swansea City in a fresh bid to get the Joe Rodon deal over the line in the next 48 hours, according to reports.

Spurs are believed to be putting together a number of different packages as they look to land their man, with the initial £7m valuation for the Wales star being rejected out of hand by the Swans.

Football Insider claim Mourinho is looking alternative ways to get Rodon in a £15m deal.

This is said to involve either straight cash, or players as well as cash.

A further option is Spurs signing Rodon, but loaning him back to the Swans for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.

Already USA centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers has been suggested as a £3m makeweight as part of the deal, although he is wanted by the Swans' Championship rivals Bournemouth.

But other unspecified players are also being mentioned by Football Insider as Spurs try to persuade the Swans on a suitable package.

Whatever, it appears increasingly likely Rodon will return tomorrow from Wales duty in Bulgaria to hold talks about a move away from the Liberty Stadium before the closure of Friday's transfer window.

West Ham, Sheffield United and Leicester also want Rodon, but Spurs are very much in pole position and Mourinho is confident of getting his man.

The Swans value Rodon in the £20m bracket, but also need the money and seem likely to cash in. They are chasing Manchester City's Joel Latibeaudiere as a possible replacement.
