Tottenham news: Son Heung-min's Golden Boot advantage as Paulo Dybala bids Juventus farewell

Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son holds a crucial advantage in the race to claim the Premier League's Golden Boot award this season.

The Spurs attacker is currently on 21 league goals this season, while Liverpool's Mohamed Salah sits just above him with 22. And with only one game left to play to overtake the Egyptian Son holds one crucial advantage – his substantially better conversion rate.

It comes as reported summer transfer target Paulo Dybala has bid an emotional farewell to current club Juventus. And Eric Dier has launched a subtle dig at former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

Here are Mirror Football's latest Tottenham Hotspur headlines.

Son's Golden Boot advantage

Heung-min Son holds a crucial advantage over Liverpool's Mohamed Salah heading into this season's final week of Premier League fixtures.

With both players hoping to be crowned the year's Golden Boot winner, the two forwards will both be hoping they can find the back of the net in their remaining games. Salah has netted 22 goals so far this season, while Son is sat on 21 but the Spurs forward's conversion rate suggests he could overtake his competitor.

While Salah has averaged 3.8 shots per 90 minutes and Son only 2.22, the South Korea international's conversion rate is at 28.28 per cent – far higher than Salah’s 17.74.

Dybala bids Juventus farewell

Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala has bid an emotional farewell to Juventus and the club's supporters.

The Argentine attacker is out of contract in the summer with reports suggesting last week that his agent had flown to London to speak to a number of Premier League outfits about a potential move. While the player has clearly enjoyed his time at Juventus, he's now said that "fate puts us on different paths".

And the forward insists he has given "everything" to the club ahead of his departure at the end of the season.

Dier's Mourinho dig?

Eric Dier appeared to make a subtle dig at former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho following the side's 1-0 win over Burnley.

Kane struck from 12 yards in first-half added time after referee Kevin Friend ruled that the ball flicked Ashley Barnes’ outstretched arm after a VAR check to keep hopes of Champions League qualification alive for Antonio Conte's side. The result saw Spurs move into the Premier League's top four, and Dier praised Conte following the win.

With Conte being linked with a summer switch to Paris Saint-Germain, Dier insisted the coach's relationship with his players was "special" as he said it would be a "real shame for it to end now".
