Tottenham news: Mourinho's rebuild, what Piatek will bring, 5 transfers Spurs tipped to complete

Full focus at Tottenham is on the January transfer window deadline.

Spurs still have a number of irons in the fire, with fans waiting to find out if the likes of Krzysztof Piatek and Steven Bergwijn will sign on the dotted line in N17.

Tottenham have already signed Gedson Fernandes on loan and made Giovani Lo Celso's move permanent.

But more are expected.

And without a gamer until Sunday, we can concentrate on all the transfer news in our roundup of the biggest stories from around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the past 24 hours.

Jose Mourinho explains Danny Rose absence amid transfer rumours

Mourinho's rebuild

Tuesday was a busy day to Tottenham.

The lowdown on Piatek

Krzysztof Piatek is Tottenham's preferred striker signing this month.

But if they are to secure their man they will have to act fast now.

There are just three days of the transfer window remaining and Spurs still have not brought in a replacement for the injured Harry Kane.

If Piatek does join, however, what will he bring to the Spurs side?

We got the lowdown from Poland.

What Eriksen said after leaving

Eriksen gave Tottenham seven years of service, and while the final season has ended on a sour note, in the main the Spurs fans have loved having him in north London.

It was always going to come to an end though and Eriksen has been looking for a way out since the summer.

The move to Inter was finally announced on Tuesday.

Here's what he had to say after leaving.

Five players to sign

With the January transfer window coming to a close, who could Spurs still sign?

There remain plenty of rumours around who could arrive to play for Mourinho's team.

But what are the chances of any of them arriving before 11pm on Friday?

We take a look here.
