Tottenham news: Harry Kane slammed for Masters trip as Spurs compared to Chuckle Brother

Tottenham Hotspur's loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday felt like a bolt from the blue.

Not only did they go down to a last-gasp goal on home soil, but the ruthless efficiency with which Antonio Conte's team had been playing in the previous weeks didn't point to a significant slip up.

It means that Spurs have been dragged back into a major scrap for a top-four finish and supporters will be watching on anxiously this week. Rivals Arsenal and Manchester United at least have challenging fixtures away at Chelsea and Liverpool respectively.

Mirror Sport has all your latest Tottenham headlines ahead of those fixtures, with a tricky trip to Brentford looming large on Saturday evening for Conte and his players.

Was the loss to Brighton just a blip for Spurs in a solid run of form? Let us know in the comments section!

Agbonlahor questions Kane

Former England striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has questioned Harry Kane's decision to attend the Masters in the United States ahead of the Brighton loss.

The current Three Lions skipper was in attendance at Augusta to see Scottie Scheffler win the green jacket last Sunday, with Spurs not in action until lunchtime on Saturday six days later.

Despite the apparent time to recover, Agbonlahor doesn't believe attending the golf event was a good decision from Kane, who was well below his usual high standards against the Seagulls.

"I’m his biggest fan, but if you’re flying after the Aston Villa game to The Masters, doing that travelling and coming back, and then putting in that performance, questions have to be asked on Harry Kane," he said.

"Was that the right thing for him to go and do? Because they were toothless going forward Spurs, no shots on target."

O'Hara compares Tottenham to Chuckle brother

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara has likened Tottenham and Arsenal to the Chuckle brothers after they each slipped up in the race for fourth at the weekend.

Arsenal had the chance to capitalise on Tottenham's loss as they travelled to Southampton later in the day. However, the Gunners continued their poor run of form with a 1-0 loss, allowing Manchester United back into the mix after their 3-2 win over Norwich City.

O'Hara share his frustration at the situation and predicted that the Red Devils will actually go on to take the final Champions League place.

"What are we doing?! What are Spurs doing? What are Arsenal doing? We’re both a shambles! Does anyone want top four? I feel like this happens every season," he said. "And the worst thing that will happen is United will get fourth."

Raducanu warms up in Tottenham shirt

Emma Raducanu has been pictured warming up in a Tottenham jersey, revealing her footballing loyalty to the north London club.

The teenager stunned the tennis world last year, as she won the U.S. Open at just 18 after only booking her spot at the tournament by progressing through the qualifying rounds. She was also named as the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year for 2021.

Spurs responded to the image with a message of "things you love to see" on their on Twitter page, while avid Arsenal fan Piers Morgan responded by saying: "How could you?"
