Teddy Sheringham has stated that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy should give Harry Kane "the freedom to make his own decision" this summer.

Kane's future has been a major talking point in recent years and it will increase to new levels ahead of next term as he gets set to enter the final 12 months of his contract.

Having served Tottenham so well since breaking into the team and then becoming the club's all-time top goalscorer at the beginning of February, Sheringham feels that Levy should grant Kane's wish if he chooses to exit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of next season.

Julian Nagelsmann is interested in becoming Tottenham's next manager but he has one key question Daniel Levy must answer for him to take the role.

Bringing in the 35-year-old German coach would be seen as another high profile appointment and based on recent trends, it is very unclear whether Levy can offer what Nagelsmann would be demanding.

One of those demands now looks to have been revealed with the former RB Leipzig boss sending Levy a clear transfer message.

Spurs fixtures compared to European-chasing rivals

The race for European football is really heating up as we enter the final month of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
