Tottenham news: Daniel Levy drops Harry Kane transfer hint as Spurs plot 'next John Terry' swoop

Here are the latest Tottenham Hotspur morning headlines on Friday, 21 April.

Paratici appeal rejected

Tottenham managing director of football Fabio Paratici has had his appeal against his 30-month ban from Italian football rejected. Paratici was implicated for his role in former club Juventus' alleged financial mismanagement, leading to suspensions being handed down to a number of key officials.

Although his 30-month ban was initially for Italian football, it was extended worldwide by FIFA at the end of March. Paratici's appeal was heard by the Italian Olympic Committee on Wednesday and his appeal was rejected late on Thursday afternoon.

It is unclear whether there is a further stage to Paratici's appeal against his ban. Paratici was not the only official to have his appeal rejected, with Andrea Agnelli and Federico Cherubini in the same boat. However, the appeals of Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti and Enrico Vellano were accepted.

Levy hints at Kane future

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has hinted that the club will be saying 'no' to any offer that comes in for Harry Kane this summer. The 29-year-old striker will soon enter the final 12 months of the six-year deal he signed in the summer of 2018 and clubs such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG have been linked with his services.

Firstly I don't consider myself to be a special negotiator or anything like. As I said, I'm just acting in the best interests of my club," Levy told Cambridge Union, when asked about his negotiating skills. "I think when it comes to a transfer it depends on the balance of power.

"If you have a player that you really don't want to sell then you have every right to say no. You own the registration. So it depends on the character of the player and whether you feel at the end you can keep the player because we're operating in a team sport and it's very important that we keep the team together. So every circumstance is different."

Spurs eye Colwill

Tottenham appear to have joined the race to sign Levi Colwill this summer as the queue for the Chelsea youngster continues to grow. The 20-year-old defender is being heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge in the summer after impressing while out on loan at Brighton this season.

football.london understands that the west Londoners have been very impressed with Colwill's progress and it is said that his future will be assessed once he returns to the club in the summer. While Chelsea are yet to make a decision, some of the Premier League's wealthiest clubs have reportedly formed a queue for his signature.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are 'admirers' of Colwill but the north Londoners face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool.
