Tottenham news: Antonio Conte clarifies vision as Giovani Lo Celso offers Spurs transfer update

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Wednesday, March 16.

Conte clarifies summer vision

Antonio Conte has strongly suggested that he will leave Tottenham if the club's vision does not match his own when he holds talks this summer. The Italian is set to hold discussions with chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici at the end of the season to discuss the summer transfer window and the club's ambitions for next season.

Conte has previously said that he wants to manage Spurs next season to fight for the Premier League title and he made it clear ahead of the match at Brighton that if someone has a different vision to him, he will leave.

"Honestly I have my vision and the vision is this, it does not change. The vision was the same in the past, the vision is the same in the present, the vision will be the same in future. My vision it will be this. I stop if the vision of someone is not the same," he said.

Lo Celso gives Spurs transfer update

Giovani Lo Celso has stated he will "see what happens in the summer" regarding a potential stay at Villarreal. In and out of the Tottenham team over the course of the season, the Argentina international was allowed to depart in January and duly headed to La Liga.

Antonio Conte's decision to part with the 25-year-old does seem to indicate that the player no longer has a future in north London, with fellow 2019 summer arrival Tanguy Ndombele also in the same boat after his loan return to Lyon. Now a regular in Unai Emery's Villarreal side since his making the move to Spain, the Yellow Submarines may try and make the move permanent if his loan deal proves to be a success.

"I try to enjoy the day to day, each training session, each match and, later, football and life will tell what is happening," Lo Celso told Marca when asked what options there are for him to continue at Villarreal next season. "I don't know what's going to happen, but I do know that I'm working 100%, that I'm going to give my best and we'll see what happens in the summer."

Two of Tottenham's matches in April have been rescheduled as they have been chosen for broadcast. With the first two matchdays of league action in April already confirmed, the Premier League have now finalised their selection process for the final three rounds.

As dates are already in place for their home match against Newcastle United and away trip to Aston Villa, although the date of the fixture at Villa Park could still change, Tottenham's next game against Brighton & Hove Albion will now remain on Saturday, April 16. However, the game will now kick-off at 12.30pm in N17 and be broadcast live on BT Sport.

A trip across the capital to Brentford then follows on Saturday, April 23, with a 5.30pm kick-off time against Thomas Frank's side. However, the match, which will be on Sky Sports, at Brentford Community Stadium is subject to change dependent on the participation of English sides in the Champions League.
