Tottenham morning headlines as Ryan Fraser transfer race takes a twist, Kane urged to stay

Here are the Tottenham Hotspur morning headlines for Friday, May 29.

Spurs target Fraser tipped for Turkey

Galatasaray have emerged as major contenders to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, a reported transfer target for Tottenham.

The 26-year-old’s deal at the South Coast club is due to expire this summer and he has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs with Arsenal also said to be in the running.

However, it has now emerged that Turkish giants Galatasaray are now keen on a shock deal, according to The Daily Record via the Daily Mail.

Fraser is tipped to replace Henry Onyekuru at Galatasaray.

Klinsmann urges Kane to stay

Jurgen Klinsmann left Tottenham 25 years ago to join Bayern Munich in his search for trophies, but he has urged current star striker Harry Kane to stay.

The German spent one season in North London after his shock move from Monaco in 1994 but he believes Kane should remain at Spurs, despite the club’s last trophy - the League Cup - coming 12 years ago.

Klinsmann told talkSPORT, via The Sun: “He can achieve anything he puts his mind to.

"He’s so, so talented, exceptional and he’s now into a stage of his career where he is far more mature.

"He’s not the young lad anymore, even if you think of him as a young player.

"Watching him from a distance, you wish him now titles. When you play a professional career, and you get the opportunity to play in a top-five team. Tottenham have not won anything since League Cup glory in 2008. in any country in the world, then it’s about winning titles.

"And so, I keep all my fingers crossed for Spurs and for him that he can collect trophies – that’s what it is all about at the end of the day."

Spurs likely for free TV

It is probable that at least at handful of Tottenham matches will be on terrestrial TV for the remainder of the Premier League campaign.

As outlined by football.london, Premier League football is set to resume from Wednesday June 17 with a third of the remaining 92 matches to be on free-to-air TV.

With nine matches left for Jose Mourinho’s side this campaign, the chances are that at least a couple of those games will be broadcast without the need for a sports subscription.

Sky Sports will be showing 25 of their 64 matches in the remainder of the season for free while a further four games will be broadcast on the BBC.

This will be the first time since the league was created in 1992 that Premier League matches have been available on free-to-air channels.
