Spurs linked with out-of-contract Willian
Chelsea beat Tottenham to the signing of Willian in 2013, but the Brazilian could end up in north London after all.
Willian is out of contract this summer and has yet to agree fresh terms with Chelsea.
In an interview with ESPN Brasil, the winger declared that he is keen to remain in the Premier League even if his days at Stamford Bridge are numbered.
"My desire is to stay in the Premier League, but I don't rule out playing in other leagues, no," he said.
"I’m going to play until the end of the season and see what happens. I’m very used to England."
Jose Mourinho was a huge fan of Willian’s during his own time at Chelsea, and the Spurs boss may look to sign him ahead of next season.
Levy wanted Inzaghi ahead of Mourinho
Reports in Italy claim that Jose Mourinho was not Daniel Levy’s first choice to replace Mauricio Pochettino last November.
According to Il Messaggero , the long-serving chairman initially wanted Simone Inzaghi to succeed Pochettino.
Inzaghi has worked wonders during his time in charge of Lazio, transforming them into Serie A title challengers this term.
The Italian has done a similar job at the Stadio Olimpico to that of Pochettino at Spurs.
Lazio are now trying to tie Inzaghi down to a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2021.
Ferdinand urges Manchester United to sign Kane
Harry Kane sent Spurs fans into panic at the weekend when he hinted that his future might lie away from north London.
The Tottenham talisman told his Instagram followers that he would not stay with the club “for the sake of it”.
Manchester United are reportedly sniffing around the England international, and former defender Rio Ferdinand has called on his old employers to add Kane to their shopping list.
"Harry has always been coy and held back but he’s dropped a couple of bombs," he said.
"He’s been waiting for the dream at Spurs to materialise but it hasn’t happened. He’s frustrated. Do you think Harry would be happy, fulfilled and satisfied if he scores goals, break records but with no trophies at the end of his career? No. He will be upset and devastated.
"I know Man United will be in for him because that type of player is perfect for them. I’m sure Juventus will be in and will Real Madrid come in?”
