Tottenham morning headlines as Peter Schmeichel sends Son transfer message to Man United

Here are the Tottenham Hotspur morning headlines for Thursday, May 21.

Schmeichel tells United to sign Son

Manchester United should sign Tottenham's Son Heung-min this summer - according to their legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

When asked on his official Twitter account who United should realistically target in the summer, Schmeichel replied: “Son from Spurs”.

The South Korean star has scored nine times and made eight more goals so far this season - and has also just completed his military training in his homeland.

Tottenham behind the scenes

Palace join Fraser transfer race - report

Crystal Palace have joined the hunt for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser - whose contract on the south coast is up next month.

That means the 26-year-old should be available on a free transfer very shortly, with Spurs and Arsenal also reportedly having expressed an interest in him, reports the Express.

The north London duo are thought to be interested in signing the Scotland international, who has scored once and made four more goals so far this season.

TV deal likely

Tottenham fans may not be able to head to the stadium to watch the final games of the season - but it is looking increasingly likely they will be able to follow the action on free-to-air television.

And that includes the Saturday afternoon matches - previously forbidden to be broadcast on television in an effort to encourage attendances.

But if, as expected, the season resumes behind closed doors, the government and the Premier League are heading towards an agreement to make all matches available to view live.

“We have to respect the existing rights that the broadcasters have but I do think we've actually got some flexibility if you look at Saturday afternoons,” said culture secretary Oliver Dowden.
