Tottenham morning headlines as Alli urged to exit and Ndombele opens up on Mourinho troubles

Here are your Tottenham Hotspur morning headlines for Sunday, November 1.

Bale pranked

Gareth Bale only returned to Tottenham in September but he has been the subject of a Halloween prank from teammates Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura.

Tottenham’s official YouTube account uploaded a 'Spurs TV Halloween Special 2020', with the prank happening at the 3:28 timeslot on the video, as per football.london.

The two players were wearing Halloween masks and crept up behind the Welshman, who was doing his media duties ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.

To Bale’s credit, he did not appear to flinch during the episode.

Alli tipped for loan exit

Out-of-favour Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been urged to seek a loan exit by the club’s former striker Clive Allen.

The England international has fallen out of favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and was one of four players substituted off at half-time in Thursday’s Europa League loss in Belgium against Royal Antwerp.

“If Spurs are clever they might well loan him to a team where he could start to find form, which he needs, because he’s desperately short of confidence,” Allen told talkSPORT on Friday, as quoted by football.london.

“He was very sloppy last night. I think he probably has to move away from Spurs for a while to try and rediscover the doubted talent he has."

Ndombele on “difficult moments” with Mourinho

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has admitted to having “difficult moments” with boss Jose Mourinho but the two now share “a good relationship.”

The Frenchman has confessed that things were not always easy during the first season for the two at the club, but the situation has now markedly improved.

“I've got a good relationship with the coach,” Ndombele said, in quotes carried by the Daily Mail. “We speak together, we laugh together. And the more difficult moments last season we've left behind us. We're now both trying our hardest to help the team.’

“I am working a bit differently now. I find myself working harder in training and in the matches. But above all I think I've just settled in better. It's true that the last season was difficult for me - to change leagues like that, it isn't easy. But now I feel like I'm really settling in better and I really hope that I'm on the right track for the future.”
