Tottenham may attempt to replace Mousa Dembele in January transfer window

Tottenham may attempt to bring in another midfielder this month to replace Mousa Dembele but only if they manage to move on unwanted players Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

Dembele today finally completed his £9million move from Tottenham to Chinese Super League Club Guangzhou R&F.

The Belgian midfielder has brought to an end his six-and-a-half-year spell at Spurs and is expected earn about £160,000 a week — roughly double his wages in north London.

His Tottenham contract had been due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Dembele, 31, flew to the Far East to conclude talks at the start of this week and his signing has now been confirmed.

“I go away with an unbelievable feeling and with a certain love for the club,” said Dembele. “[Sometimes when you leave a club] you separate in a bad way but I don’t feel this way.”
