Tottenham matched a 17-year record set by Arsenal as they stormed to a 5-2 win over Southampton thanks a hat-trick from Son Heung-min.
Spurs dominated proceedings at St Mary’s throughout to claim their first win of the season.
All eyes were on South Korean forward Son Heung-min who managed to bang in four goals in less than 20 minutes of playing time.
But it was the main man up front Harry Kane who was hugely responsible for Son’s onslaught as he provided all four assists, before scoring himself to round off the victory.
In doing so, the England captain actually became the first player since 2003 to solely assist a hat-trick in the Premier League.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was the last man to do so when he set up Freddie Ljungberg's triple for Arsenal against Sunderland.
Henry actually scored the opening goal that day as well to help the Gunners cement third place on the fan day of the season.
Speaking after the match, Son paid homage to Kane for his efforts in helping him find the back of the net on multiple occasions.

“It’s incredible to score four goals in the Premier League. Obviously without team-mates and Harry Kane’s passing, I wouldn’t have scored that many goals. Three points is the most important thing. I’m happy to score four but more happy with the win.
“Finishing is probably what I say is my main skill and it was not even difficult finishing because Harry’s passing was incredible. That is the first time I have scored four goals in my life.

“I’m very happy that Harry Kane scored. When you make an incredible game with four assists, he’s one of the best strikers in the world, he’s hungry. I’m very happy he scored today.
“Harry is the man of the match. He scored a goal and had four assists. We’ve been working together so long so we know each other. We work really hard.”
