Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino favourite with the bookies to take over at Man United

Its been a tough few weeks for Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur.

After being thrashed 7-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Spurs' poor run of form continued on Saturday afternoon with Brighton claiming a comfortable 3-0 win at the Amex.

The defeat at Amex also extended Spurs' winless league run away from home to 10 matches, stretching back to a 2-1 win at Fulham on 20 January.

But despite his side's poor run of form, Pochettino has now emerged as the front runner take over Manchester United.

United are on a torrid run of form themselves at the minute, with their 1-0 defeat away at Newcastle United leaving them two points above the drop zone after eight games.

Solskjaer was initially handed the reigns on a temporary basis following Jose Mourinho's sacking in December, and following an impressive run of form, was handed the role on a permanent basis in March.

But after just two wins in the league this season, the pressure is now mounting on the Norwegian who is priced at 11/10 to leave before Christmas and 1/2 to depart before the end of the season.

As a result, Pochettino is favourite for the role priced at 3/1 with Ladbrokes, while Brendan Rodgers (9/2), Max Allegri (6/1), Laurent Blanc (8/1) and Erik ten Hag (8/1) make up the rest of the top five being tipped for the role.
