Tottenham manager latest: Eintracht Frankfurt’s Oliver Glasner ‘tempted by job as Daniel Levy makes contact’

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner is open to a new job amid reports Tottenham have made contact over replacing Antonio Conte.

Conte is this week expected to be sacked following a remarkable outburst in which he questioned his players' ability and motivation, along with referencing the club's long trophy drought during chairman Daniel Levy's long tenure.

Glasner has impressed many with his work at the Bundesliga club, and twice faced Spurs earlier this season in the Champions League after guiding the club to Europa League success last year.

Reports in Germany now claim Spurs have made contact with Glasner's agents over becoming their new manager, and former Frankfurt head coach Friedhelm Funkel believes the 48-year-old will be tempted by such interest.

"Eintracht Frankfurt is a great club, but there are even more attractive jobs," Friedhelm Funkel told Sky Sport Germany on Sunday.

"If a request comes from abroad, then I believe that Oliver will think about it."

He added: "At Eintracht, you don't know whether the team can be kept together ... the risk of staying in Frankfurt is too great."
