A 40-year-old man is due to appear in court today charged with the murder of Sheryl Wilkins, 39.
Simon Levy is accused of killing Ms Wilkins and is also charged with two counts of rape, intentional strangulation and grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to a second victim.
Ms Wilkins was found unresponsive in High Road, Tottenham at around 7.30am on Sunday, August 24.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation began following an inconclusive post-mortem examination result. Levy was arrested on September 4 and charged with murder on September 7.
The second victim, a woman aged 35, cannot be named at this stage due to the nature of the offences, police say.
The victims’ families are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Levy is due to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The investigation continues.
