Tottenham make training ground decision, Euro 2021 affects and Pochettino's best signing

Day five with no Tottenham game but there is still plenty going on around the world of football.

The Premier League's decision to postpone games until at least April 4th means that there is still a few more football less days to get through, with Spurs' scheduled fixture against West Ham now having to be played at a later date.

The weekend just gone would have seen Tottenham line up for a crucial Premier League encounter with Manchester United as both teams chase Champions League qualification this season.

It is still not fully clear when the Premier League will start again, but don't worry, here is the latest news from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while you wait for it to return.

Training ground decision

Tottenham returned to training at Hotspur way on Tuesday amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Many clubs have taken the decision to not go ahead with training as usual following advice from Prime Minister Boris Johnson to work from home wherever possible.

However, it seems as though it is business at usual for Tottenham as they prepare for the Premier League return next month.

Euro 2020 postponement affects

It was announced on Tuesday afternoon that the decision has been taken to postpone Euro 2020 for one year, meaning that the tournament will now take place in 2021.

UEFA held a meeting on Tuesday morning after which the announcement was made.

The delay in the competition now makes it more likely that the 2019/20 Premier League season will be able to be complete, but what other affects could the postponements have for Spurs?

While there is no action on the pitch, the three week break from Premier League action is a good time to reflect.

Mauricio Pochettino became a casualty of Tottenham's poor start to the 2019/20 campaign earlier in the season, but the Argentinian was widely praised for the job he did at the club.
