Tottenham make final Tanguy Ndombele transfer decision as Antonio Conte eyes Adama Traore

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte could be set for a busy end to the January transfer window as the top-four chasers eye business before it closes.

Spurs jumped above north London rivals Arsenal with their dramatic comeback victory against Leicester City, putting themselves in the driving seat for Champions League qualification.

Exits could see the squad changed in the final ten days of the window, however, while new faces could rejuvenate the squad.

One player heavily touted to make the move is Adama Traore, with the Athletic stating Spurs are closing in on an agreement with Wolves.

Spurs' initial offer of £15m was rejected by the Midlands outfit but, with an asking price of £20m, there's an expectation that an agreement will be found.

That could see Conte move into his favoured formation following his arrival, with Traore acting as a right wing-back.

Elsewhere, Jordan Veretout will not be moving to north London as his agent made it abundantly clear to Calcio Mercato that he is staying with Roma.

A swap deal that would see Tanguy Ndombele move to Rome had been touted, with the Frenchman surplus to requirements in Conte's squad.

Finally, Steven Bergwijn may have been the hero for Spurs in midweek but there's still a possibility that he will leave this month, the Athletic states.

Ajax remain keen on the former PSV Eindhoven man and he's hunting for first-team assurances, while it's added he was disappointed with the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.
