Tottenham make £51m bid for Serie A striker but face battle with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to add Dusan Vlahovic to their attack, according to reports in Italy.

The Fiorentina striker netted 21 goals in 40 appearances last season and Spurs director of football, Fabio Paratici, wants the Serbian to be his first big money signing at Tottenham.

Spurs will not have it easy when trying to seal the signature of the 21-year-old with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid and Italian giants AC Milan also reported to be interested in the striker.

A fee in the region of £51 million is being touted for Vlahovic with Calcio Mercato reporting all three sides have submitted formal bids for the marksman.

Personal terms and Vlahovic's own preference will be the deciding factor about where his future lies according to the report.

Vlahociv is understood to favour a move to Juventus, however, the 36 times Serie A champions have not made any enquiries about the striker yet.

Vlahovic joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018, during his first two season's he managed just eight goals in 44 matches before his hot streak of 20 goals last season.

The Serbian striker was named Seria A Best Young Player for the 2020-21 season after his fine form for the Viola.

Former Itlaian international Christian Vieri has been impressed with Vlahovic's perormfances in Serie A: "I think that, after Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, he is one of the strongest in Europe.

""He has quality, technique. He is Serbian and they are all technically good.”

Despite Tottenham not having appointed a new head coach following the sacking of Jose Mourinho during the 2020/21 campaign SPurs are still looking to make their mark in the transfer market.

Paratici will play a key role in recruitment and after 17 years in Italy working as a scout and director the Serie A market is one the 48-year-old knows well.
