Tottenham 'line up' Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard as potential Harry Kane replacement

Spurs have been linked with a move for Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman is in high demand after scoring 62 goals in his first two seasons at Celtic, and it is thought that the English Premier League club view him as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.

According to the Sunday Times, Jose Mourinho's side had Edouard watched on numerous occasions before the lockdown.

Edouard's boss Neil Lennon, however, is reluctant to part with the prolific striker, saying: "It's inevitable there will be speculation surrounding Odsonne because of the player and talent he is.

"He hasn't said anything to me about wanting to go.

"Whether that changes over the next while, we don't know, but we have him on a really good contract and we are in a strong position to rebuff any interest in him. We don't want to sell him. We are happy with him and he seems quite happy here."

Edouard arrived at Celtic Park in August 2017 on a season-long loan deal from PSG, eventually signing a permanent deal in June 2018 for a fee believed to be around £9m.
