Tottenham Legends lost 5-4 against Inter Forever in the last minute as a host of stars took part in the final test event at Spurs' new £1billion home.
The game got going at rather a hectic pace with Teemu Tainio putting Spurs ahead after seven minutes before David Suazo levelled for Inter.
Spurs didn't have to wait long to get their noses ahead again though, although they did benefit from a touch of luck as the offside flag stayed down to allow Robbie Keane in behind before lobbing Julio Cesar with one touch. The trademark celebration going down a treat.
Another from Suazo brought Inter level again before Allan Nielsen and Juan Sebastian Veron both scored to make it three-a-piece at the break.
The second half brought a string of changes, most notably the entrance of Paul Gascoigne who received perhaps the loudest cheer of the evening. The England legend couldn't get his name on the scoresheet but it was a special moment for all in attendance.
Nicola Ventola snuck the visitors ahead shortly after the hour, though Dimitar Berbatov replied shortly after with a superb header across goal from Stephen Carr's cross.
After Neil Sullivan had made a last ditch save to keep things level, Houssine Kharja pounced on an 89th minute scramble to win the game for Inter.
The stars of the past have given the club's new home their seal of approval, now it is just a matter of days before the current crop get their go.
