Tottenham learn Europa Conference League group stage opponents

Tottenham have been drawn into Group G in the Europa Conference League, along with Rennes, Vitesse and Mura.

Spurs beat Portuguese side Pacos over two legs to reach the competition proper, which is being held for the first time.

Considering the level of many participating teams, Spurs have been handed the tougher end of the draw.

Rennes finished sixth in Ligue 1 last season, while Vitesse finished fourth in the Eredivisie. Mura are Slovenian champions.

Follow Thursday night’s progress to the group stage, Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo told reporters: “I believe games are what make us grow as a team, having the Conference League, we must use this competition to help us grow as a group working together going in the same direction.

“I’m really pleased with all of the boys.”

The group stage begins on September 16, with the final scheduled for Tirana’s National Stadium on May 25.
