Tottenham lead Ryan Sessegnon transfer chase ahead of Man Utd and PSG

Tottenham head the queue of clubs who want to sign England prospect Ryan Sessegnon this summer.

Fulham are resigned to having to sell the highly-rated teenager this summer after being relegated because Sessegnon only has one year left on his current contract.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big admirer while Manchester United , Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund are also very keen.

Spurs appear to be in pole position as Pochettino wants to shake up his squad this summer and their track record of giving English youngsters a chance is certain to appeal.

Why finishing fourth in Premier League may no longer seal Champions League spot

Sessegnon, who turns 19 next month, was rated in the £50m bracket by Fulham last summer but their relegation and his contract running down means the price could be half that this time.

Fulham will sell this season rather than resist bids because they could not risk losing him to a foreign club for a knock-down fee next summer when they would just have to pay a small compensation package.

Tottenham's Danny Rose so sick of football racism he can't wait to retire

PSG have been serious contenders while Dortmund would have been keen to put Andre Schurrle into any player-plus-cash deal but that possibility has gone now Fulham have gone down.

Sessegnon has been left devastated by Fulham’s relegation as he was always keen to stay and play in the Premier League but this season has not gone to plan.

A fresh start is certain to put Sessegnon back in the England picture as he is regarded as one of the country’s best young prospects.
