Tottenham interested in Juventus star as Tanguy Ndombele stopped Donny van de Beek transfer

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Wednesday, October 13.

Kulusevski interest

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Juventus forward Dejan Kulusevski, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, via Tuttomercato.

The report claims that The Old Lady are willing to part ways with Kulusevski in January and Spurs director Fabio Paratici is a huge fan of his, bringing the Swedish international to Turin last year.

The 21-year-old has struggled to establish himself under Massimiliano Allegri, starting just twice across all competitions this season.

Kulusevski is valued at £36million on Transfermarkt, with his current deal at Juve running until the summer of 2025.

Ndombele claim

Tanguy Ndombele wants to leave Tottenham and move to Real Madrid in the future, according to reports from Spain.

Defensa Central are reporting that the 24-year-old, who joined Spurs in the summer of 2019, is still determined to seal a move away from N17, with his preferred option Spanish giants Real Madrid.

When asked about the Frenchman's future, the Lilywhites boss Nuno Espirito Santo claimed that it was not in his job description to convince players to play for Spurs.

He said: "I said it before - my job here is not to convince players to play for Tottenham Hotspur, it is to prepare players to play for Tottenham Hotspur."

Mourinho's frustration

The Athletic claim that Tottenham playmaker Tanguy Ndombele played his part in stopping former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho's efforts to sign Dutch international Donny van de Beek back in the summer of 2020, as a deal to offload the former Lyon maestro fell through and he remained with the club when Mourinho wanted otherwise.

It meant the former Chelsea manager's chase for Van de Beek fell flat, and the goalscoring midfielder eventually joined Manchester United instead.
