Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud could be in line for a shock switch to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Friday evening's transfer deadline.
Giroud has been down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard this season and is said to want to leave the West London outfit before Friday's 11pm deadline.
The France international, 33, has attracted interest from former Blues boss Antonio Conte's Inter Milan during this month's window, but wants to stay in London, with Spurs keen on adding him to their ranks.
At the time of writing, betting company Ladbrokes are currently offering evens for Giroud to make the switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, meaning odds are now at even-money for a deal to be completed.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Giroud may be loved at Arsenal, but he won't be for much longer if the latest odds on a shock Spurs move are anything to go by."
Inter remain second favourites to land Giroud, with the Italian club currently priced at 8/11 to get a deal over the line.
Inter were said to be very keen on landing Giroud this month but are now considering bringing an end to their pursuit, over fears that their squad may become too big following the addition of Christian Eriksen on Monday.
It is little secret that Tottenham have been desperate to add to their forward line this month following the injury to Harry Kane, with Jose Mourinho having taken an interest in signing AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek and Willian Jose of Real Sociedad.
Blues head coach Frank Lampard has previously admitted that Giroud would be allowed to leave the club if the right deal materialised.
"With Ollie [Giroud] the situation is, if it's right for everybody, and first and foremost that's us as the club, then we'll look at whether he can leave the club," he said.
"He's been a great professional here, who has continued to train professionally without many opportunities.
"But I still have to make a decision for the football club, and nothing's done yet.
"Everyone's talking about it so I'm not going to beat around the bush. I think his agent has spoken to the club, but until anything's done he's a Chelsea player."
