Tottenham will be without midfield duo Eric Dier and Harry Winks against Liverpool this weekend, while Serge Aurier is also unavailable for the trip to Anfield.
Dier, who played 90 minutes in the defeat at Southampton before the international break, his first start in more than a month, was forced off with injury on international duty in the first half of England’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic after a hip injury flared up.
Winks, who made an unsuccessful return from a groin injury in the 1-0 win at Borussia Dortmund earlier this month, continues to train alone and it remains unclear as to how long either midfielder will be out for.
“It's not a big issue but he needs to recover from the problem he suffered against the Czech Republic with the national team,” Pochettino said of Dier. “Him and Harry Winks and Serge Aurier are going to be out for the weekend.
“One week, 10 days, two weeks, we’ll see how he improves. He was running today, but we need to wait.
“Winks, the same, similar, after Dortmund he felt it again and the same. We don't know. We need to assess him. Some days he improves a lot, other days he drops a little bit. Hope that both will be available as soon as possible.”
Aurier sustained a hamstring injury while on international duty and is being assessed by the Tottenham medical team.
