Tottenham will be without Harry Kane for Sunday's London derby against Fulham after confirming that their star man suffered ankle ligament damage.
Kane suffered the injury during the final stages of Spurs' 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday, after being caught in the middle of Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof.
The initial prognosis from Tottenham's medical staff suggested early March as a potential date for return to training.
The loss of leading scorer Kane, who has 20 goals so far this season, represents a huge blow to third-placed Tottenham's titles hopes, with Mauricio Pochettino's side now some nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
It is the third successive season that he has sustained an ankle injury, the most recent one keeping him out for a fortnight last March.
With Heung-min Son playing for South Korea at the Asian Games, Kane's absence means Fernando Llorente is likely to lead the line against Fulham. Lucas Moura has been deployed in a striking role before by Pochettino, but the Brazilian is still feeling pain from his most recent injury layoff.
Meanwhile, Moussa Sissoko suffered a muscle injury during the first half of the defeat at the national stadium.
The Frenchman pulled up as he chased down a ball and was subsequently forced off after failing to run off the injury.
Pochettino added: "For Moussa, it was his groin, a small thing in his groin. We hope it's not a big issue too."
Eric Dier, Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele are all at varying stages of their respective recoveries, though Dembele is expected to seal a move to China before getting the chance to represent Spurs again.
Dier and Moura are pushing for returns against Fulham, but Wanyama is still yet to return to training.
