Tottenham hold Ze Luis transfer talks but Jose Mourinho prioritising other targets

Tottenham have held talks with Porto over the loan signing of Ze Luis, but Jose Mourinho is thought to be prioritising other attacking targets.

Mourinho, the Spurs manager, is desperate to add to his squad this month and has already sealed an 18-month loan deal for Gedson Fernandes from Benfica.

Luis is one of a number of forwards to have been offered to Spurs.

Mourinho wants to add at least one forward to his squad after losing Harry Kane to a torn hamstring, which is expected to rule him out until April.

Luis, who would require a work permit to play in England, joined Porto from Spartak Moscow on a four-year deal in the summer and has scored seven league goals from just 12 games, plus one in the Champions League.

He began his professional career in Portugal, before a loan spell in Hungary and four years in Russia with Spartak.

Spurs are also interested in AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piątek, while the former player Fernando Llorente has reportedly been offered on loan from Napoli.
