Tottenham Hotspur’s squad is the 13th most valuable in Europe and fifth in the Premier League, according to a new report from the CIES Football Observatory. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team would earn the club €568m (£486m) if they were all sold today.
North London rivals Arsenal are 14th on the CIES table, with their squad valued at a marginally lower €563m.
Chelsea have the third-highest estimated squad value across the continent. If all of Thomas Tuchel's players were sold the club would bank €946m (£810m), behind Manchester City’s €1.28bn and Manchester United’s €1.21bn.
West Ham United are in 25th on €337m and Crystal Palace are in 50th on €169m. Newly-promoted Brentford have the fourth-highest among Premier League teams with €153m.
The table also illustrates the disparity between the Premier League and the rest of Europe's big divisions with the average English top-flight squad worth more than two and a half times that of an average Ligue 1.
Brentford, for instance, would be eighth if their corner of West London became a part of France.
CIES said: "The Manchester teams would potentially collect more than €1.2bn in transfer indemnities if they decided to put all their current squad members on the market.
"Chelsea completes the podium with an estimated squad value of €946m. Barcelona heads the rankings in the Spanish Liga (€896m), Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga (€890m), Paris St-Germain in the French Ligue 1 (€808m) and Juventus in the Italian Serie A (€618m).
"The estimated transfer value of all English Premier League players totals €8.9bn (€445m per team on average).
"For the other leagues, these figures are €5.3bn for the Spanish Liga (€263m per club), €4.5bn for the German Bundesliga (€251m), €4.4bn for the Italian Serie A (€222m) and €3.4bn for the French Ligue 1 (€172m)."
