Tottenham Hotspur star shows Liverpool appreciation following Champions League loss

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has shown Liverpool some love following the Reds' Champions League victory.

The Frenchman gave away a penalty in the opening minute as Sadio Mane's cross deflected off his shoulder and onto his arm.

Egypt international Mohamed Salah stepped up to coolly score the all important penalty as the Reds took a 1-0 lead.

Belgian striker Divock Origi struck late on as Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners in the Spanish capital.

But the former Newcastle man has shown he harbours no bad feelings against his Premier League rivals.

The club's official Twitter shared a post celebrating the birthday of Jordan Henderson on Monday.

A video of the England midfielder lifting the Reds' sixth European Cup was accompanied by a caption which read: "Happy birthday to our captain. Have a great day, skipper!"

Sissoko liked the tweet, and this is not the first Liverpool related post he has interacted with on social media.

The France international also showed his appreciation for Gini Wijnaldum's post as the Dutchman returned to his hometown in Holland to open up a new football pitch.
