Tottenham Hotspur fans aren't exactly confident going into Sunday

St James' Park will play host to the game of the weekend between Newcastle united and Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with the atmosphere around each club decidedly different.

Despite the fact that they haven't won a game yet this season, Magpies fans are still basking in the fact that Mike Ashley has finally left the club and they now support one of the richest clubs in world football.

Meanwhile, Spurs have had an inconsistent start to the season and are suffering after the international break, with several players involvement in an Argentina game in the early hours of Friday morning GMT meaning they may not be available, plus two players are now missing out on the game due to positive covid tests. As such, many Spurs fans have concerns about Sunday's match.

On Twitter, one decided to take the ironic approach, @rj_griggs writing "oh well, at least Harry's in form."

Another @SouthEast_Spurs, was far more blunt saying, "Everything is against us tomorrow , we are 100% not winning the game are we. Two players: COVID. Four players travel: knackered. A misfiring striker. All adds up to a lackluster performance and a first win for Saudi Arabia FC".

One fan expressed their anger, @SpacebarGamer wrote "You couldn't make this up. This club is worse than a soap opera", whilst @essexladtb27 called his team a "parody club".

There were some more positive fans though as @THFCxVasi said, "With the loss of Sonny for Newcastle game it will be even tougher to achieve the three points but if we do it the confidence boost will be incredible. Come on you Spurs. Let’s do it."

Meanwhile @Glenn82O tweeted, "For some strange reason I’m actually looking forward to this tomorrow".

Steve Bruce's side will hope to take advantage of an atmosphere which will be overwhelmingly positive in St James' Park, whilst Spurs seem to be in a moment of chaos. The Magpies have a great opportunity to pick up a win at the first time of asking under their new owners.
