A man is fighting for his life after a hit and run on Tottenham High Road
(Picture: Google Street View)A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a hit and run in north London late on Tuesday.
The man, in his early 20s, was hit by a car near the junction of Tottenham High Road and West Green Road just after 11.30pm.
He was seriously injured and the London Ambulance Service contacted police.
A police statement said: “Police were called by LAS at 23:33hrs on Tuesday, 31 January to West Green Road/ High Road N15 to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“The man, aged in his early 20s, was taken to hospital; his condition at this time is being treated as life-threatening.
“The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. The vehicle was later located and a man arrested.”
“Enquiries are ongoing and roadclosures have now been lifted.”
