Tottenham handed Giovani Lo Celso injury boost ahead of Europa League qualifier

Tottenham have been handed a significant boost ahead of their Europa League qualifer in Bulgaria against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Jose Mourinho's side have been forced to enter the earlier rounds of the competition following Arsenal's FA Cup victory and their continental adventure begins tomorrow.

The pressure is on following Sunday's defeat to Everton in the Premier League, where the absence of Giovani Lo Celso was focused on by supporters.

However, Spurs have been handed a boost ahead of their Europa League clash as the Argentine midfielder has returned to first-team training.

Lo Celso trained with Spurs this morning ahead of Mourinho's pre-match press conference, where Eric Dier was also in attendance.

That provides a significant boost, with Lo Celso closing in on his first action of the season - having been sidelined for all four of Spurs' pre-season friendlies.

Signed last summer, Lo Celso made 28 Premier League appearances for Spurs, contributing two assists, and established himself as a core member of the first team.
