Spurs given Kounde hope
Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has admitted that he expects to leave the Spanish club this summer and pursue a fresh challenge, amid reports linking him with a move to Tottenham.
Spurs are poised to be on the hunt for a new centre-back this summer and reports in the national media have linked them with the services of Frenchman Kounde.
The 22-year-old has a £69million release clause within his contract and has recently admitted that he expects to leave the club this summer.
He said: "Regarding my future, it’s certain that I will perhaps have to change clubs this summer. But nothing has been finalised yet. I have not decided anything.
"My goal is to play for a big club, to try to always progress and to win trophies. It’s true that I might have to move but that’s not relevant today."
Kounde is not the only centre-back to have been linked with a move to north London so far this summer as former Fulham loanee Joachim Andersen is also on the club's radar.

Kane addresses Spurs future
Tottenham ace Harry Kane has revealed that he has not spoken to his agent for "weeks" in regards to his future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The striker, who will be hoping to fire England into the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 when they face Germany at Wembley on Tuesday, has aspirations to leave Spurs this summer and pursue his dream of winning trophies elsewhere.
However, although his main focus right now is England duty, Kane insists there is nothing new to report on his club future.
He said: "I feel like when I come away with England I'm just fully focused on England. My brother is my agent, but the only time I've spoke to my brother really over the last few weeks is 'Good luck, let's get a win, and let's take England all the way.'
"So, yeah, it doesn't really bother me about the outside noise. When I'm here I'm with the boys, I try to help the boys, be a leader in the team. I need to get to know the boys, see what makes certain players tick, and the younger lads, helping them. So I feel like I've got enough on my plate to worry about anything outside of England."

Ajax eye Bergwijn swoop
Ajax remain in the hunt to sign Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn this summer, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
The Dutch side are big admirers of the former PSV Eindhoven man and would like to lure him back to his homeland. However, Spurs are reluctant to let go of him this summer.
Although he has not consolidated himself as a regular starter in north London thus far, he could find himself in with a greater chance of featuring more heavily in 2021/22 following Gareth Bale's return to Real Madrid.
However, Spurs have reportedly made it clear that Bergwijn has a part to play in their pre-season preparations.
