Tottenham given clear final price for Joe Rodon as Swansea City put cards on table - reports

Swansea City are reportedly insisting Tottenham meet their £18m asking price for Joe Rodon after rejecting an initial paltry £7m bid.

Rodon is set to be a huge focal point throughout deadline day, with Spurs determined to sign the Wales defender.

The two clubs' valuations have long been some distance apart, but decision day has arrived, with the window closing at 5pm.

MailOnline report Swansea told Spurs on Thursday they will not budge. Manager Steve Cooper has urged Swans bosses not to sell Rodon on the cheap.

Spurs could well try and seal a deal by offering players in exchange, while the possibility of Rodon being loaned straight back to the Championship club could also be on the table.

Asked about Rodon transfer developments at his Thursday press conference, he said: "None as far as I know.

"I haven't seen Joe for best part of couple of weeks as he's been away with Wales. We are training later. I do recognise there's been a lot of stuff in the media about possible interest but I don't how that far is down the line."

Leicester City are also thought to be interested in Rodon, with Man Utd previously credited with interest.

Meanwhile, Brighton's proposed move for Andre Ayew appears to have stalled, according to the reports.
