Tottenham forward Harry Kane gives injury update vs Manchester United

Harry Kane says he is raring to go ahead of facing Manchester United later this month.

When the Premier League was halted in March, the Tottenham Hotspur star stood to miss the majority of the remainder of the season through injury.

Yet the three-month coronavirus-enforced break has given Kane time to get back to fitness, and he will be ready for his side's first game back, against Manchester United on June 19.

Kane admits it is the longest he has gone without football for years and says the opportunity to play United is a good motivator.

Speaking at the Paddy Power golf shootout, Kane said: "It feels like a pre-season, it's been good so far. I was doing individual training for a while, I almost got to the stage where I was back with the team and then obviously we had to stay at home.

"It's been a good chance for me to get fit. It's been six months since I last played a game, I haven't done that since I was probably about six-years-old.

"Manchester United first, a Friday night I think it is, so we're going back with a bang."
