Tottenham fans will love what Victor Wanyama has said about Thierry Henry and Arsenal

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has revealed that though he has an enormous amount of respect for his manager - Thierry Henry - the pair will never see eye to eye when it comes to the heated debate of the North London rivalry.

After four years with Spurs, the Kenyan international joined Canadian outfit Montreal Impact at the beginning of March, where he teamed up with former Gunners legend Henry, who had landed the position as manager back in November.

Since joining the MLS outfit, Wanyama, who enjoyed a superb debut season at Spurs before falling out-of-favour by the end of his Tottenham career, has featured just once.

Though the move has handed the former Celtic midfielder the opportunity to work under one of the greatest talents football has had the pleasure of witnessing, Wanyama has revealed that he will never agree with anything Henry says regarding Spurs and the Gunners, insisting he will "always be Spurs."

“He’s (Henry) an Arsenal legend and a very good manager, but we’ll never agree to anything regarding Spurs and Arsenal," Wanyama told MLSsoccer.com. "I will always be Spurs through and through.

“My old teammates are fine, they’re not giving me much banter about Henry.

“If we were in England and I played for Arsenal, it’d be different. But I’ll always support Spurs, they’re not winding me up. They know I’m Tottenham forever.”

During his four year stint in North London, Wanyama, 28, racked up 97 appearances for the club, netting seven goals, five of which came in his first season at the club.
