Tottenham fans will love what Gary Lineker has said about Harry Kane’s future amid Juventus link

Gary Lineker has taken a swipe at reports in Italy which claim Juventus are ready to smash their transfer record to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Tuttosport claim that the Serie A champions have made the Spurs forward their top summer transfer target, with Manchester United and Manchester City also interested.

The Italian outlet report that Juve are prepared to spend €200million on his transfer fee and wages to get a prospective deal over the line.

However, if a deal doesn't materialise, it is claimed that Maurizio Sarri's side will instead target Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus.

It is also suggested that a deal could then trigger a merry-go-round with City boss Pep Guardiola looking to beat rival United to Kane's signature.

But Match of the Day host and former Spurs striker Lineker was quick to slam the rumours on social media, and dismissed the reports as "guesswork."

Posting on Twitter, Lineker wrote: 'The papers say loads of things about transfers.

'They haven’t got a clue. It’s all guesswork.

'Throw enough darts......'

Kane, who is currently recovering from a hamstring tear sustained on New Year's Day, signed a new Spurs contract until 2024.

But with Tottenham facing another trophyless season after crashing out of the FA Cup and Champions League, it has been reported that the north London side face a real battle to keep hold of their star player.

The Telegraph claim the striker will consider his future at the end of the season, with the lack of success at Spurs a major factor in any potential decision to leave.
