Tottenham fans will love Tanguy Ndombele's latest injury update ahead of Norwich clash

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has hinted that he will soon be returning to action following a spell on the sidelines.

The French midfielder has not featured since the 1-0 defeat against Southampton in the Premier League on New Year's Day, with Tottenham's club record signing missing the last four matches in all competitions through injury.

It is not the first setback the Frenchman has had during his time at Spurs, with Ndombele missing a number of games this season with different injuries.

And Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho recently bemoaned the injury problems that have halted Ndombele's progress during his first season in north London.

"When I arrived he was injured and now 6/7 weeks after I arrived he is injured again," he said.

"So no continuity in his development, he needs minutes, he needs to be playing.

But Ndombele has raised hopes of a return in the near future with a message on social media.

The post is a picture of the Frenchman alongside compatriot Moussa Sissoko, with the word 'soon.'

Ndombele has featured 20 times this season since making the move from Lyon, with the midfielder scoring two goals for Tottenham.

However, he has been restricted to just four appearances since the beginning of December due to his injury problems.

Spurs are next in action when they face bottom side Norwich City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday.
