Moussa Sissoko is putting in the hours as he bids to return to action for Tottenham before the season is out.
Last featuring on New Year's Day in the 1-0 defeat at Southampton, the Frenchman sustained an injury on the south coast and subsequently had to go for surgery to operate on the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
Spurs later confirmed that they do not expect him to return to training until at least early April and he will be doing all he can to be back on the pitch as soon as possible.
Having missed out on selection for France's successful 2018 World Cup campaign, the player really needs to be featuring regularly before the season comes to an end as he looks to make Didier Deschamps' squad for Euro 2020.
Initially spending some time at Clairefontaine in France following surgery, Sissoko is currently back at Hotspur Way and working in the gym.
Uploading a couple of videos, which all featured three flexed bicep emojis, to his Instagram story on Monday evening of him testing his movement and doing some ball work, the 30-year-old then uploaded a longer video to his Twitter account on Tuesday and he sent a message to supporters.
He tweeted: "No pain, no gain. I will be back soon."
The video on Twitter showed the player going through a variety of exercises to help strengthen his knee, including doing some work in the pool.
Given that the player went under the knife at the start of last month, the clips of the player already working with the ball will have gone down extremely well with Tottenham fans.
Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks have stepped up in central midfield in Sissoko's absence with some brilliant performances in the middle of the park.
New January signing Gedson Fernandes also showed what he can do in the team's last game in the FA Cup fourth round replay against Southampton as he came off the bench to help the Lilywhites progress.
Sissoko definitely has a fight on his hands to work his way back into Jose Mourinho's side but he will be giving it his all as he also looks to return for Spurs and then seal a place in the France squad for the Euros.
