Tottenham fans spot Jose Mourinho's Gareth Bale message as Danny Rose makes decision on future

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Sunday, January 17.

Rose makes future decision

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is eyeing a move away from England despite interest from the Premier League, according to The Sun.

Rose is out of favour under Jose Mourinho as things stand, with Ben Davies and Sergio Reguilon both being preferred on the left-hand side of defence.

The 30-year-old looks set to end his 13-year association with Spurs this month, with West Bromwich Albion reportedly interested.

However, according to a fresh report, Rose is looking at moving abroad, with Bundesliga clubs also keen on the former England international.

Rose is believed to prefer a short-term switch abroad to try and revive his career after being frozen out of the squad by Mourinho.

Rivaldo agrees with Klopp about Spurs

Brazil legend Rivaldo agrees with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp that Tottenham are still serious contenders in this season's Premier League title race.

Spurs were flying at one point but have suffered a slight downturn in form recently, drawing with Fulham in midweek.

The north London side are now sixth in the table and sit six points behind table-toppers Manchester United.

However, Rivaldo believes Spurs are still in the race to win their first Premier League trophy.

"The fact the Red Devils are about to visit Anfield without any fans could also be beneficial as it would be a totally different task facing Liverpool in a completely full stadium at the home of the champions," the former Barcelona forward told Betfair.

"But it's still too early in the season and there are many clubs ready to fight for the title. Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham are serious contenders that won't want to give any presents to Man United."

Spurs fans pick up Mourinho training message

Tottenham fans believe they have picked up something Mourinho said during a training session with his squad.

@thespursweb took to Twitter to share some audio on a video from the Spurs session that he had picked up, where Mourinho appeared to say to Gareth Bale: "You want to stay here or go to Madrid and play no football?"

Bale made the return to north London after seven years away from the club this summer, signing on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.

The Welsh winger struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane, but the same can be said about his time back in the capital.

The 31-year-old has featured just four times in the Premier League since making the move back to England, with his future at the club now in doubt.
