Tottenham fans send Jose Mourinho clear message after his latest seven-word Instagram post

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has taken to Instagram ahead of his side's clash with West Brom on Sunday.

Mourinho is under increasing pressure following a disappointing run of form which has seen Spurs lose three on the bounce in the Premier League, including this week's London derby with Chelsea at home.

Tottenham were once league-leaders this season but they now find themselves in ninth, albeit with games in hand over many of the teams above.

Though, above all, it has been the style of play that has upset supporters with many unhappy with what they have perceived as a defensive brand of football.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese boss remains in charge and he has sent a seven-word message to supporters ahead of his side's clash with strugglers West Brom on Sunday.

Mourinho posted a picture of his players' boots at the training ground on Instagram with the caption 'Boots are ready and we are ready'.

And Spurs fans have been responding to that post with plenty of criticism over the current style of play, and indeed Tottenham's recent form.

Here's what a selection of fans had to say.

Aaron Mardon: "You’ve not been ready the last 3 games."

JackDallender: "Are your Attacking tactics ready tho???"

_georgewells_: "If we lose to west brom pls leave."

N17_thfc: "DONT PARK THE BUS."

5mbo23: "Sort it out we are all losing patience."

Speaking about his team's struggles after the defeat to Chelsea, Mourinho said: "The reality is that since Liverpool half-time, that is very difficult for us to connect certain dynamics.

"We tried without [Carlos] Vinicius against Brighton. We tried today with Vinicius and two up. We tried in the second half with him as a target man and two wingers and a No.10. We're trying to go on the search but I saw togetherness.

"It's not easy to see togetherness with bad results, defeats, difficulties, injuries.

"Togetherness is very easy to show when you're on a high and winning matches, when everything is amazing.

"But in difficult moments it's more difficult to see that togetherness but I saw that in the second half. No doubts for me."
