Tottenham fans send clear message to Daniel Levy and likely transfer targets

Sanchez responds to Coronavirus training criticism

Spurs defender Davinson Sanchez has apparently learnt his lesson after reportedly breaking coronavirus social distancing measures earlier this week.

The Colombian international was photographed out jogging with teammate and neighbour Ryan Sessegnon, despite health advice not to exercise with people outside of your household.

However, the centre back was not the only Spurs player criticised for breaking lock down rules, with manager Jose Mourinho and Tanguy Ndombele spotted training together in a local park.

Mourinho subsequently apologised for the incident, accepting he had not followed advice, whilst Sanchez posted an Instagram picture from his solo jog with the caption ‘this is it’.

Tim Sherwood claims he will be a difficult act to follow

Experienced striker a summer transfer target

Tottenham are likely to target an experienced striker during the summer, according to Football London writer Alisdair Gold.

Spurs correspondent Gold answered questions part of a fan Q+A, with fans keen to know how Mourinho is looking to solve the squad’s attacking issues ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Olivier Giroud has been linked with a possible move across the capital, and Gold believes he could be a perfect option as experienced cover for Harry Kane.

With Spurs unlikely to spend big this summer, and Mourinho conscious of blocking Troy Parrott’s first team path, a veteran squad option looks to be the way to go in the coming months.

Spurs fans call on Levy to change furlough stance

Tottenham fans have again called on chairman Daniel Levy to alter his position on furloughing around 40% of the club’s non-playing staff.

Levy has come under fire for opting to use the government’s financial support, rather than the club’s money, to pay staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

Confirmation from Southampton earlier today that they will not be making staff redundant, with Ralph Hasenhuttl and his players agreeing to defer wages to pay club staff, has placed more pressure on Levy.

Rivals Liverpool have performed a U turn on their original decision to furlough staff following a backlash, with Spurs supporters hoping for a similar reversal from the Lilywhites.
