Tottenham fans react on Instagram after Harry Kane breaks his silence ahead of Arsenal clash

Harry Kane looks set to return to the Tottenham Hotspur XI for this weekend's North London Derby against Arsenal.

The Spurs and England striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 13 goals in 16 games across all competitions so far.

But his absence from Wednesday's training session and subsequently missing the 3-3 draw with LASK in the Europa League, coupled with Jose Mourinho's comments, has seen him emerge as a slight doubt to face the Gunners.

Although, the Spurs head coach did deliver some positive news on Kane in his pre-match press conference.

"I'm not going to say about the nature of his [Kane's] injury," Mourinho said. "I think he has a good chance of playing at the weekend, I believe he will play."

Football.london understands that Mourinho expects to have Kane, Sergio Reguilon, and Carlos Vinicius available for the Arsenal game on Sunday, while a decision will be made over defender Toby Alderweireld ahead of kick-off.

And Kane has spoken out for the first time since Mourinho delivered the rather surprising injury news.

However, it's not to discuss his injury or the Arsenal game.

Rather it's been to promote a conversation he had with Matt Crossen - captain of England's Cerebral Palsy team - as they came together for International Day of People with Disabilities to discuss their roles and responsibilities in leading their teams.

"Had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with @mattcrossen6, @england's CP team captain, to talk goals, leadership and the new @nikefootball Phantom GT FlyEase," Kane wrote on Instagram.

Despite Kane's social media post having nothing to do with the upcoming North London Derby, a few Spurs fans responded with the same message.

yobr_aa said: "Hope you fit for Arsenal."

rohan_7531 said: "please play in NLD."

joedpierce11 replied with: "Are you injured and will you be playing the game against Arsenal coz we need you and son to link up again."
