Here's the news from around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Bale was awarded man of the match by his compatriot and former international manager Chris Coleman in the Sky commentary box and the Welshman fares well in our Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold's ratings.

Mourinho sacked after Levy argument

According to reports in the Daily Express, an argument between Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy was a contributing factor to the former Spurs manager losing his job on Monday.

The report states that Mourinho intended to rest Spurs stars for last night's clash with Southampton ahead of Sunday's League Cup final against Manchester City.

Duncan Castles reported that this was not something Levy was pleased about with the Chairman believing the league game to be more important than the upcoming final and was the final nail in Mourinho's coffin.

The managerial change had the instant bounce Spurs were hoping for with Tottenham coming from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 in N17.
