Tottenham fans oppose potential summer transfer and five problems Mourinho will face next season

Another weekend has come and gone without any live football to enjoy.

The coronavirus continues to play havoc with the Premier League fixture schedule and all we can do is look at what is going on behind the scenes at Spurs, rather than focusing on on-pitch matters.

Attention of course will turn to the summer transfer window and the business Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy will attempt to get done.

How Kane, Lo Celso and Sissoko are keeping busy while isolating

Plenty of questions remain unanswered about Tottenham Hotspur who were very much in the mix for a Champions League spot before the season was suspended.

As ever, football.london will keep you across all the fallout from the Premier League meeting and what happens next with six weeks until the players are back in action.

With that said, here's all the news from around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Five problems Mourinho will face

For months Jose Mourinho had been telling everyone that he just wanted to get to July 1 to start the 2020/21 season.

However, that date is unlikely to be when next season gets underway.

As a result, Tottenham next season will be a very different experience for Mourinho compared to any managerial job he's had in decades.

Assuming the new Premier League season does eventually begin at some point later in the year, there are many problems that the Spurs boss will need to tackle.

But what are they?

Click here to read about the five problems Jose Mourinho will face at Tottenham when next season does arrive.

Dejan Lovren transfer message

Tottenham have been linked with defensive reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window.

The latest being Liverpool's Dejan Lovren as the north London outfit could be on the market for a Jan Vertonghen replacement as his contract is due to expire on June 30.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Lilywhites are among the clubs interested in the Croatian centre-back with Liverpool said to have dropped their £20 million price-tag.

But do Spurs fans want to see the Croatia international swap Merseyside for N17?

That would be a strong no as seen with the replies below....

Tottenham's stance on Rose

Danny Rose is spending the remainder of the season at Newcastle United having joined on loan until the end of the season.

The England international made five Premier League appearanes for the Magpies, prior to the campaign being affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

But it would appear he's done enough to impress Steve Bruce.

According to the Northern Echo, all parties are willing to make the deal permanent in the summer.

The report claims that Jose Mourinho does not see Rose as part of his long term plans at Tottenham, meaning he will be free to leave should an appropriate price be agreed between the two clubs.
