Tottenham fans noticed what wonderkid Troy Parrott did on his senior Republic of Ireland debut

It has been a brilliant night for Tottenham Hotspur players on international duty.

Harry Winks completed 90 minutes for England as they trashed Montenegro 7-0 to officially confirm their place at next summer's European Championships.

The game at Wembley Stadium was effectively over before half-time thanks to a hat-trick from captain Harry Kane.

But they weren't the only Spurs stars in action.

Wonderkid Troy Parrott was handed made his senior Republic of Ireland debut against New Zealand.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ireland boss Mick McCarthy was full of praise for the Spurs youngster and tipped him for a bright future in the game.

"I've seen a bright, very intelligent footballer who is very good with the ball at his feet," he told reporters. "He did some really good things yesterday. I think he found it tough enough. We had a tough session.

"They hadn't done anything at the weekend so it was a pretty intense one. He enjoyed it and he's very capable, there's no doubt about that."

And Parrott marked the occasion by registering an assist for Sean Maguire.

This did not go unnoticed by Spurs fans on Twitter...
