Giovani Lo Celso is permanently a Tottenham Hotspur player.
The Argentina international joined the north London outfit on loan on transfer deadline day in the summer window and has clearly done enough to earn a permanent deal under new head coach Jose Mourinho.
Confirmation of the Lilywhites' second signing of the January transfer window came on Tuesday afternoon via the club's official website.
In turning Lo Celso's loan move into a permanent one, Spurs have saved themselves £6.8m.
Real Betis vice-chairman Jose Catalan had been expecting Tottenham to sign the attacking midfielder this month as they would have risked paying an even bigger fee at the end of the season.
"The purchase option [for Lo Celso] can be exercised by this January market," he told ABC de Sevilla. "They would have to pay €32million (£27.3million).
"In June [a €40m permanent deal] is mandatory if they get into the Champions League, and voluntary if not.
"They will have to make the decision whether they buy or not."
The Lo Celso deal isn't the only piece of transfer news coming out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today [Tuesday] as Christian Eriksen's £17.5m move to Inter Milan also being confirmed.
And Tottenham fans have noticed the timing of both announcements.
