It's been a whirlwind week for Christian Eriksen.
On Monday afternoon his departure from Tottenham Hotspur was confirmed as he joined Inter Milan in a deal worth a reported £17.5m, a decent fee given he was out of contract in the summer.
Then on Tuesday night the Denmark international made his bow for the Serie A giants.
And a number of Spurs fans kept a close eye on how Eriksen got on in Inter Milan's Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina at the San Siro.
Replacing former Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez in the 66th minute, what the attacking midfielder did with virtually his very first touch of the ball did not go unnoticed by supporters.
Standing over a free-kick from a relatively dangerous position, Eriksen had the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez waiting in the box for a dangerous delivery.
However, the 27-year-old - wearing the no.24 for his new club - failed to get the ball past the first man in the wall and it's a sight Spurs fans have become all too familiar with in recent seasons.
As expected, there was a massive reaction to this on social media.
Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...
After his move to Italy was sealed, the attacking midfielder had a message for Spurs supporters.
"Dear Tottenham fans, I don't know where to start," he wrote on Twitter. "I didn't have time to say goodbye to everyone, even though I felt like I played a lot of games where everyone said and thought I would be gone the next day.
"I have so many unbelievable memories over the last 6.5 years I was at Spurs.
"I enjoyed being at the training ground every day and playing games in the stadium so much, but sometimes you just want to try something new.
"So, Spurs fans it has been a pleasure to play at your club and hopefully we meet again in the future!
"All the best, Christian."
