Tottenham fans name their Player of the Season as Jose Mourinho's key star revealed

Harry Kane was voted as Tottenham's player of the season in a survey conducted by football.london.

In a domestic sense, it's been an extremely disappointing campaign for Spurs as they sit six points off fourth-place in the Premier League table.

As well as this, Jose Mourinho saw his side knocked out of the Europa League Round of 16 by Dinamo Zagreb after a second-leg collapse.

But one player that has been consistent throughout the underwhelming season is Kane - who is on course for his third Golden Boot award.

The 27-year-old has 19 goals to his name in the top-flight this season, with only Mohamed Salah of Liverpool matching that - also with 19.

Kane has also set up his team-mates 13 times in the Premier League this season, which means he has 32 direct goal involvements in 29 appearances.

So it doesn't come as much of a surprise that 60% of the 94 people asked by football.london who their Spurs player of the season was voted for Kane.

The closest to the England captain is his partner in crime, Son Heung-min, who boasts 21% of the votes from the survey. The South Korea forward has formed a formidable partnership with Kane this season.

Son has 14 goals to his name in the Premier League, as well as nine assists for his team-mates.

Next on the list is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (14%), who is enjoying a fine first season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Denmark midfielder's industrious work off-the-ball has attracted many plaudits, with many suggesting he is the player Spurs have been missing for years.

In fourth is Sergio Reguilon (4%), who, like Hojbjerg, is currently in his debut season at Mourinho's side.

After signing from Real Madrid last summer, Reguilon has showcased his abilities both in defence and going forward - establishing himself as Spurs' first-choice left-back.

Tanguy Ndombele has had a much improved season, which is why it's no shock to see him appearing on the list - with 1% of voters choosing the French midfielder.

Spurs have the chance to somewhat save their season later this month, as they take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.

For Mourinho, it's a chance to do what he was brought to Spurs to do - win trophies - but will have their work cut out against long-time rival Pep Guardiola, who has seen his side produce unparalleled brilliance this season.
